Local Priorities Mobile phone theft Message

I wanted to provide an update regarding Mobile phone theft, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

At the Kilburn Ward Panel Meeting, held last evening near Quex Road; panel members heard details of recent mobile phone thefts.
These were carried out by an e-bike rider, usually late evening, in Kilburn & South Hampstead. There was a list; just in the last 4 days !! Victims’, were not just young lone females, as you might think – but both male and female between 18 and 50 years of age.
The only safe use of a mobile phone in public – is not it’s public flirtation – but a more discreet use; in keeping with the current climate. Also to set a good public example to other potential victims.
